When Mr. Willard introduced the social part he made it into a triangle so theres economy-ecology-social, and environmental justice is a combination of ecology and social. Alot of times poorer people experience economic injustice because of where they live. If toxic waste is dumped near their residences, they don’t have enough money to move or buy a new house. This was demonstrated in the Love Canal incident.

According to the book, Environmental Justice is a “movement based on a moral sense of fairness and equality that seeks to expand society’s domain of ethical concern to all people” (rich vs. poor, man vs. woman, and so on).

Priya got to it first, but Environmental Justice operates to attempt to right the wrongs committed by others that affect innocent people (and in some cases, everybody in the world as demonstrated in the backlash against nuclear weapons)
