Students often take summer courses to free room in their schedules in the normal school calendar.
In order to clarify what is possible at a Global Studies Diploma Student, here are some Sample Schedules of past Global Studies Students who have taken two languages, music all four years, study halls, or study halls and multiple AP classes. This four-year Schedule Outline lays out some ways to fulfill the Global Studies Diploma requirements, along with the general PDS graduation requirements.

EXTRACURRICULAR
Each Global Studies student is required to attend or participate in varying Extracurricular and Global Cross-Cultural Experiences in their four years of high school. In both of these categories, points are awarded based on a point system, where each event merits a certain number of points depending on the time and effort required. To graduate with the Global Studies Diploma, students must acquire 750 points by participating in the activities of their choice while earning points in three areas: .
To receive these points, students must fill out a Summary-Reflection Form to reflect on each event or experience within two weeks of participating in the event. In addition, each Summary-Reflection Form should be paired with an Artifact, such as a ticket, photo, or notes from the event to serve as evidence that the student actually attended the event. (unless the event is organized through the Global Studies office so that you can sign-in or sign-up)
The following activities are some of the extracurriculars for which students may be awarded points toward their diploma requirement. See the Global Studies Event Calendar to see when these activities are available. Some of these events require signing up with Dr. Fauchier in advance.
